Why I move my stores to WordPress (WP)?
I was using Shopify Stores for years, at the beginning of 2019 decided 1 day to move the stores to WP. Interested to know more? I do not just wake up one day and decide to move my stores to WordPress (WP). it took me few weeks of my time to figure out that having WP is more cost efficient way to run my business online.
Firstly, I need to plan out an approach to start a new website in WordPress which is not the one i have migrated from Shopify to WP in Google Cloud Platform. Bought a totally new domain and tested the new configuration that I learned in the past with some kind of trials and errors. Managed to setup the first new website successfully after many technical confrontation. It sounds too easy here but it took me few weeks of sleepless night to figure them out. After the first website managed to install in Google Cloud Platform successfully and notice an amazing performance improvement comparing to Hostgator in the smallest hosting package for both the platforms. it is much cheaper in long terms to use Google Cloud Platform for free first year and about $5 USD per month for the following entire years.
To retest a little success that i have with Google Cloud Platform, bought another new domain and deep dive through the same process again. This time is much easier and it took me about 1-2 days to complete the entire setup, the setup including hosting configuration, DNS configuration, email autoresponder installation that work with SES and SendGrid tested separately.
After some serious consideration with some calculated risks, i decided to give a trial and error approach to migrate my current domain (SpecialGift.Net) to Google Cloud Platform with WordPress. It works beautifully with the help of some awesome plugins, such as
NEWSLETTER WordPress Plugin is the Ultimate Self-Managed Autoresponder Platform to Maximize Your Email Marketing
ThriveCart is The no. 1 cart software that grows
your income from existing traffic and pays for itself many times over with high converting
checkout pages, upsells & affiliate campaigns
To know more about the PROs and CONs of these WordPress plugins, please refer to the Recommended Web Hosting landing page. Considering myself is a One Time Cost (OTC) person, only interested in software solution which does not charge monthly fees. For example, NEWSLETTER WordPress Plugin performs as good as AWeber or any other email autoresponders in the marketplace. Note that do not get email autoresponders from either ClickBank or JVzoo because I have tried them and those softwares are not recommended like RapidMailer.
The flexibility of the WordPress allows me to integrate my stores not only with NEWSLETTER WordPress Plugin nicely but also with ThriveCart and also ClickFunnels.
If you are interested in Shopify stores, please consider WordPress with AliDropShip plugin or ClickFunnels plugin. You can use AliDropShip and ThriveCart to sell multiple products and ClickFunnels to sell a single product store. All the orders fulfillment can be carried out easily online without spreadsheets or virtual assistance (VA). Much easier than Oberlo or any paid apps in Shopify.
